Our problem is menus in restaurants not providing enough information on the menu. This affects people who have allergies because they might not be aware of what ingredients are included in the dish. This could be dangerous because if you do not know what you are eating, you might have a reaction to it. Allergies can be big or small. Nutrition is normally hard to get when you have allergies. The law does not require retail or food service companies that make food in order to give ingredient lists or allergy warnings to customers. Often times restaurants won’t include ingredient lists on menus which are dangerous to people with allergies. Some restaurants have specific utensils/machines for people with food allergies.
